Figures in Transition
A Workshop on Thinking with Conceptual Forms
Date: July 19, 2025
Location: Berlin / Hybrid
Description:
This half-day workshop explores how conceptual figures—like the threshold, the echo, or the veil—can help us think through the tensions of digital life. Participants are invited to bring philosophical fragments, images, or theoretical ghosts. Together, we will trace, question, and upcycle them into new configurations.
Keywords: philosophy, digitality, figuration, experimentation
Composting Concepts
Philosophical Debris and the Art of Slow Thinking
Date: October 4–5, 2025
Location: Vienna / In person
Description:
This two-day gathering centers on discarded concepts, unfinished ideas, and philosophical leftovers. Together, we will explore how neglected or decomposing thought-materials—obsolete terms, outdated theories, broken metaphors—can be composted into fertile ground for new reflection. Expect slow discussion, diagrammatic drawing, and speculative failure.
Keywords: slowness, failure, decay, reuse, speculative philosophy
