Philosophy Rocks!

The project Upcycling Philosophy seeks to look at current events from fresh angles. It is a hub for everybody who wants to meet, exchange views, and take existing theories and concepts to new shores. This website is where some of these thoughts and ideas get stored while being worked on. You are cordially invited to join in and think along with us.

Upcycling Philosophy

Upcycling Philosophy transforms traditional philosophical thinking for contemporary challenges. Instead of discarding established concepts, we reimagine and repurpose them – giving philosophical traditions new life in our digital, interconnected age. Here, philosophical reflection meets practical engagement as we collectively explore how timeless questions find fresh answers in today’s world.

Project Goals

Our aim is to recognise something about ourselves as human beings that is revealed by the way we use digital technology in our everyday lives. Our goal is to work with other disciplines to provide new and, above all, enriching answers to pressing questions about the reality of digital life.

Project Content

Ancient concepts, new applications. Aristotelian virtue ethics meets AI dilemmas. Stoic resilience tackles information overload. Kantian duty confronts algorithmic bias. We take philosophical classics and rescale them for contemporary problems – political, technological, environmental, social.

How to Join Us

Ready to upcycle some ideas? We welcome thinkers from all disciplines – just bring curiosity and critical thinking. Share your perspective on how established theories apply to modern problems. Whether you’re bringing insights from science, arts, technology, or any other field to contemporary challenges – fresh viewpoints make thinking stronger. Drop us a line and let’s think together.

About Us

We bring together philosophers, scientists, artists, and thinkers from all fields who believe critical thinking matters more than ever. This is where established theories get refurbished, redefined, and reused for today’s upheavals. Join us in upcycling philosophy – taking what works from the past and making it work for the future.
